PIGGLY PINES: Boz Clinic - Private Training - Camping and Horse Vacations

Boz mountain clinics & private training weeks, or just come up, camp, stay in one of our rooms or tipi‘s or rent a cabin in Ponderosa. Come join us in the beautiful Sierras and have access to unlimited miles of riding trials. Boz will offer group clinics, multiple days of private training and weekly private training sessions for the our Mountain facility. If you just want to come up with your horse and ride the trails we have pens available. See fee schedule

We offer clinics for groups. Minimum 5 students - Maximum 10 students

Private training sessions also available.

Piggly Pines is located 4 1/2 hours north of LA, 6 1/2 approx. south of the Bay area. It is located in a small mountain community of Ponderosa, CA at the 7250 ft. elevation. Boz and Annie purchased the 14 acres in the Spring of 2001. It is bordered by the U.S. Forest Service in the newly appointed Monument. The facility is on an edge of Kramer Meadow that runs the length of the property. On the other side of the meadow is unlimited amount of trail and fire breaks for trail riding. Come join us and ride among the giant Sequoias, Yellow, Ponderosa and Lodgepole pines and Aspen trees. You will witness the beautiful Aspen trees in their yellow splendor at our Fall clinics and training weeks. During the summer the meadow comes alive with many different wild flowers. Every week brings new and different colored flowers. We hope you can come share the experience of this beautiful place with your horse or mule, Boz will make you both a safer and happier team.

Clinics - Weekends - Meals, pens for 1 horse and lodging included in clinic price. (Cabins, Tipis, camping or bring your own RV) Some hookups available. Please see info regarding accommodations. Please see insert for prices and dates of upcoming events.

Clinic: $375.00 per student for 1 horse. Spectators $255.00

Come and learn to ride in the Beautiful Sequoia National Monument. 

If you are staying over on Sunday night you must make arrangements for lodging, extra meals, and also pens for you horse when you send in your registration.

In the afternoon a trail ride will give everyone a chance to see how their animal acts on the trail with other and different animals. Any problems will be addressed.

Meals included, teepees or camping.

If staying in Teepee’s - students must bring all of their own bedding.

All students must bring their own towels, toiletries, etc. (except if staying in a cabins)

Horse pens: Pens included in Clinic fee. If you need extra nights, $25.00 per night (feed not included) Please add this fee to amount due for clinic or different training options noted below. This amount varies to the number of nights needed.

Horse pens: $25.00 per night per horse(feed not included) Pen fee included in clinic fee. (2 nights for weekend clinics.) Please add this fee to amount due for clinic or different training options noted below if you need extra nights.

NO PORTABLE PENS ALLOWED

RULES AND GUIDELINES

Students responsible for their own animals feed unless other arrangements are made.

Students responsible for cleaning of their animals pen unless other arrangements are made. (feed not included)

No fires are allowed at anytime, we have a designated area.

No dogs allowed, if you show up with your dog (any size) you will have to leave and no refunds. NO EXCEPTIONS - Please don’t ask to bring one, we have been there, done that and Thank you.

No smoking. This is a non-smoking facility.

Please remember when making plans to visit Piggly Pines make sure you have brought everything you need. Ponderosa has a small store with limited supplies. The closest shopping is Springville 1 hour or Porterville 1 1/2 hours. The closest feed store for hay is over an hour away.

Cabins:

Little Cabin - 1 bedroom with queen size bed, kitchen & bath

$200.00 1/person or 2  - more than 1 night:  $175.00

Hide-abed - queen size - 1 to 2 persons - $50.00 each

Rollaway - $50.00 - 1 person

Piglet Cabin

$75.00 1person - 2 people $50.00 each - 2 twins

C-train bathroom (shared)

Camping:

Tent: $25.00 per person

Self contained: $25.00 per person

Tipi's: $25.00 per person (shared)

Horse 1/horse: $25.00 per day - you bring your own feed

Private lessons: $50.00 for 1 hour

All prices are per person and 1 horse. Bathroom facilities are shared either camping or Aspen Cabin

No Dogs

If camping there are no camp fires allowed.

Laundry facilities available, rates will be posted.

No cell service

Please email or call for dates that you are interested in. We will be taking reservations starting in now for 2011 summer and fall season. ½ down required at time of reservation and balance due 1 month before arrival. Deposit non refundable but you can transfer for another date (1 time only)

Bed and Breakfast has 2 rooms and also an apartment type setup with kitchen and has a sleeping loft. Alvie serves wine and cheese in the afternoon and has an indoor hot-tub for the guests that stay in the 2 rooms. (Not available to guests staying in the apartment.)
