Well its the day of competition and its HOT, DRY and even when you are in the shade and there is a breeze, its like sitting in a convection oven!                  Ok, time for the competition to start.  At the end there is a score board that shows how everyone progressed.  This is the best that John has ever done and he actually beat all the competitors as they played the different rounds, but not at the end.  He is already practicing for next year.  The pictures below are some of the competitors in the different rounds.  I am sitting on the end of the bleachers with 2 umbrellas, ice chest with lots of water and a squirt bottle with water to mist us, I am surprised it didn't steam when we used it.....             John talking with a fellow competitor.  The guys son is in the red shirt and his older brother will be competing in the open division on the weekend.    The guy in the red shirt is from Canada and he is the one that finally won this competition.                   They are waiting for the all clear on the field.                      John had a playoff for 1st on one of the rounds and he won the playoff round.                                 This is picture of me, I was going down for the count by then, don't know how the guys averaged hitting 72 balls in this heat.  It was 101 with the wind heat factor of unknown HEAT!                      This is the final scoring and shows just how close John came.
